                                 THE BOOK OF ENOCH   

                                ASCENSION TO THE HEAVENS       

  Although Enoch is only mentioned briefly in the Old Testament he is known to be one of the most significant prophets in the bible. 

  "When Jared was 162, he had a son, Enoch...When Enoch was 65, he had a son, Methuselah. After that Enoch lived in fellowship with God for 300 years and had other children. He lived to be 365 years old. He spent his life in fellowship with God, and then he disappeared, because God took him away"-Genesis 1: 18-25

  During the editing/composition of the Old Testament many ancient texts were fragmented to the point where church scholars decided to leave out the Book of Enoch. Nevertheless these texts were not abandoned completely and later were compiled into what became known as the "Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha". In the "Ancient Legends of the Jews" Enoch is "king over all men". In ancient Egypt, Enoch was considered by some to be the builder of the Great Pyramid. There are several versions of the Book of Enoch, but the most widely accepted versions are both the Slavonic & Ethiopian versions which detail the same miraculous stories.

  The books are written in the first person by Enoch as he describes his calling by God himself to be taken to the heavens to be taught in many disciplines by the archangel Pravuil in order to bring that knowledge back to humanity.

   "And the Lord summoned one of his Archangels by the name of Pravuil (Vretil in other texts), whose knowledge was quicker in wisdom than the other archangels, who wrote all the deeds of the Lord; and the Lord said to Pravuil;"Bring out the books from my storehouses, and take a reed of quick-writing, and give it to Enoch, and deliver to him the choice and comforting books out of thy hand.."

  "And the Lord said to Michael: "Go and take Enoch from out his earthly garments, and anoint him with my sweet ointment, and put him into the garments of My glory." And Michael did thus, as the Lord told him. He anointed me, and dressed me, and the appearance of that ointment is more than the great light, and his ointment is like sweet dew, and its smell as myrrh, shining like the sun's rays, and I looked at myself, and was like one of the glorious ones. 

  In the Book of Enoch he continues to describe his ascension towards the heavens in great detail. Such detail that would be impossible to describe in that time period without the ability of space flight. It is clearly written that Enoch was taken out his "earthly garments" and "anointed" with some sort of disinfectant and put into something more suitable for space travel.
